✔ L-Tyrosine: L-Tyrosine is an amino acid and is a precursor for the neurotransmitter’s dopamine and adrenaline, which is linked to the lowering of stress in horses. It is also considered a natural mood stabilizer that helps the production of serotonin that has important functions including helping towards the physiological regulation of stress.
✔ Magnesium (Mg): Magnesium is linked to reducing anxiety and helping to maintain normal nerve transmission and wellbeing in the horse. It is also an essential mineral that horses require for proper nerve and muscle function. It is also involved in over 300 metabolic processes in the horse’s body, and horses that are not receiving the correct amount of magnesium in their diet may be irritable or nervous.
✔ Sepiolite clay: Sepiolite clay supports the horse by absorbing and acting as a buffer to excess stomach acid that can damage the stomach lining. In times of stress, horses can lose their appetite, causing stomach acid to splash onto the stomach mucosa (lining) and cause ulcers.
✔ B6/B1 Vitamins: The B vitamins 1 and 6 are associated with the function of the nerves and energy metabolism. B1/thiamine plays a key role in carbohydrate metabolism, acting as a co-enzyme to support the transformation of nutrients into energy. Deficiencies in B1 thiamine can lead to poor appetite and nervousness and it has been demonstrated that supplementation can improve concentration and reduce excitability. B6 is Important for normal brain development and keeping the nervous and immune systems functioning correctly.
Maximum Calmer is Ideal for horses during excitable or stressful situations such as competitions, separation anxiety, loading, travelling, hacking, farrier, dentist visits and to help excitable horses settle during turnout.

I start using Max gut health plus and Max calmer on my friesian horse. He had bad skin problems, itched a lot and his mane was full of dandruff. He was very aggresive towards people, especially when he got food. You cound’t walk him on a halter, he would pull away and kick at you. After he used the gut health plus and max calmer, that behavior changed completely. He is very calm and peacefull. The skin problems are also a thing if the past. His color was brown, he is now pitch black and shiny. I would recommend the products, they are the best there is, excellent.

Yes! If you are looking at this, buy it!
This is the best product out there. I have an anxious TB and I started getting more information on this product after having a let’s say ‘not so pleasant’ show for me and my horse. Was also eliminated from my first test!
I wanted to attend another show 2 weeks after my ‘unpleasant’ show.
Tess helped me out to get this product shipped out to me in record time so that I can give it a few days before the show.
Flippen wonderful! My horse was calmer and content. It felt like he could process what is going on without having to overreact first.
In a chaotic environment (warm up arenas) he was in-tune with me and the aids and didn’t look twice at dogs barking or other horses running out the arena gate.
Needless to say, after being eliminated in my first show this product helped my horse and I to get first place in our second show!
Believe me when I say, try it. You will be amazed just like me.

I would love to give you feedback on the Max Gut Health and the Max Calmer.
I had to move all 7 of my horses to our new farm in Bronkhorstspruit in December 2024. They are all different ages ranging from 6 months to 15 years old. I bred all of them so they have been with me since birth at the same plot in Pretoria.
The move has been extremely traumatizing to all, even though they have a lot more space, better/nicer stables and huge paddocks during the day. They have the same groom, the same everything they had at our previous yard, I even moved the walker.
None the less, they were all very stressed, very clingy to one another, they would get separation anxiety if I tried to move one of them to another paddock or even go on a ride with one. They all would scream so much if they lost sight of one another.
So I do endurance riding and in mid February 2025 (this is now 2.5 months after the move to the new place) we went for our first ride of the season. I took 3 horses and all 3 were unmanageable at the pre-start vetcheck. They would stand on their hind legs (something that they have never ever done before), they would not stand still for the vet to check their heart rates and their heart rates were sky high. It was a total disaster to get on any of them the next morning before the start of our 40km. I even fell before the start, as my mare was so stressed, sweating profusely and fidgeting, again standing on her hind legs. It was really a bad situation.
My eldest horse, the 15 year old gelding that is usually very calm at home even gashed open his chest in the paddock that he had to get more than 15 stitches because he was pacing up and down the fence.
So after this ride, I decided that I had to do something because none of them are coping and they are struggling to get used to the new farm and surroundings. I ordered Max Gut Health and Max calmer (I got your details from Tammy at Western Shoppe)
I started all 4 of my riding horses on both products in the last week of February 2025. So they have been on the products for 3 – 4 weeks.
We had our next 80km endurance ride last weekend at Waterberg 21 and 22 March 2025. Again I took the same 3 horses to the ride. I rode one on the Friday and the other 2 rode on Saturday with me and a friend.
All were calm and focussed at the pre-vet checks…no standing on the hind legs. I got on in the morning with no stress. They all completed the 80km and the whole way through they were calm and focussed. We still have a bit of issues with the separation anxiety, but it is much much better.
I want to thank you for the amazing product, because that is the only change I made and it saved me/us.
I was about to give up on the endurance rides for a while until they calmed down. I will keep on giving both products for another month or two and then I guess I will just move to the max gut.
I really made the difference for me!!!
Thank you

I am absolutely amazed by the results of Max Gut Health Calmer.
The transformation in my horse was remarkable- what began as a highly stressful day (and could have end worse) turned into one of calm focus and composure. The difference was almost instantaneous and truly impressive.
A heartfelt thank you to Janene for generously offering her personal supply when I needed it the most. This experience has made me a firm believer in the product, and I would be delighted to share samples with others at shows so they too can witness the incredible benefits of Max Gut Health Calmer (8.10.25)

I’m super impressed with the Max Calmer. Definitely a much happier, calm horse. Amazing! Chichas normal Max gut-health is finished in the next few days so I will need a new tub of that. When the Calmer is done, I will also order a new big one. Just amazed at how much its helped Chicha.

”My horses look fantastic, their coats, hooves and muscle tone have all improved noticeably
since being on maxgut, my Grand Prix horse’s muscle recovery is much better after hard work
and the calmer has produced focused, calm horses that are still sensitive and reactive in
competition“

🎉 From Bucking Bronco to Champion: Lady’s Transformation Story 🐴
Meet Lady, a pony whose separation anxiety once made every ride a challenge. Her young rider faced constant falls, bruises, and even regular doctors visits. Despite thorough vet checks full x-rays, chiropractor visit , dental care, and feed adjustments ,Tack being fitted and changed absolutely everything was ruled out. Lady’s anxiety persisted she has severe herd separation and would do anything to get out of work and back to her friends.
Enter Max Gut Health and Max Calmer.
Within just days of starting Max Gut Health and Max Calmer, Lady began to show remarkable changes a 3 weeks later at her first show post-supplementation, she was calm, focused, and performed flawlessly, securing two first-place prizes with scores over 70%! No bucking, no rearing, just a composed pony and a confident young rider.
These results weren’t achieved overnight. They came after ruling out all other possibilities and ensuring Lady’s overall health was in check. The combination of Max Gut Health and Max Calmer provided the final piece of the puzzle, bringing peace to both pony and rider.

The max gut calmer has worked really well on calming down my reactive warmblood. He is much more focused in the arenas and on hacks is not doing the extreme reactions he was doing before I put him on the calmer. The calmer hasn’t decreased any of his energy which is great as he can be a bit lazy at times but has definitely calmed his mind. Definitely recommend it for reactive/anxious horses

Hi. Just wanted to say thank you again for the calmer for Rio. He did so so well at his first 1* Eventing this past weekend.
Giving a 1/4 of what we use to, every show is better than the last. The calmer is a game changer for us, just really appreciate it! Thank you.
