Calcium is important for blood coagulation, cell membrane function, glandular secretion, temperature regulation and the regulation of the activity of many enzymes, and the mitochondrial and neuromuscular functions.

We have tried one of our horses – Mogul Equine’s Zinkwazi who is ridden by Jodie Sampson on the Max Gut Hoof and it is really good. For the first time, his feet are growing, and we were able to take back shoes off and get better angles on the front. His feet were needing some TLC when we bought him, but we are starting to see some lovely hoof growth and are now able to get his plantar angles corrected. His low pedal bone structure is now covered around the sole, so he is a much happier horse!
